I bought two of these about 7 years ago and when they arrived I wasn't too sure about how long they would last or their their strength, including the shackles. They have had a lot of use since and been able to stand up to pulling out stuck Land Rovers, small trees and 10-12" tree stumps out of the ground when pulled by a Kubota tractor on 4WD, and heavy stuff using a hand winch. I am impressed. Some slight signs of wear on part of the edges, but this may be due to friction. Very good value

I bought this strap as I go greenlaning a lot in a small convoy of vehicles. Mine only weighs a ton but there are several heading towards the 2.5T mark and I always like using higher rated stuff for off-road recovery. The quality of the strap is evident the minute you pick it up. It is clearly very well made and I would not hesitate in using it upto it's weight limit. The shackles feel pretty heavy and feel solid but look a bit cheap. I haven't used them yet but I'm sure they'll be fine.

I recently found myself stuck in some muddy ground and whilst I was confident that the Good Samaritan who stopped to help me could pull me out of the mire with the aid of a (Halfords) tow rope that I had in my emergency kit, unfortunately the tow rope snapped! Fortunately I was somehow able to piece it together and was eventually pulled out. As a consequence of this misadventure, on returning home I determined to find something more substantial; hence the tow rope from AB Tools. Thus far I have not found the need to use it and I hope that I won't, but it is certainly a beefy looking part and I am confident that this piece of kit will serve me well should I find myself in a similar situation.

This tow rope offers excellent value. It's well made and extremely competitively priced being at least half as expensive as offer tow rope products with much lower capacity. I'm using this for a Motorhome which is rated at 4 ton, so the 8 ton rating on this gives provides a lot of guard-band in case extra force is required to pull me out of a ditch or a muddy field. It rolls up into a small bundle, roughly the same size as a pair of shoes so its easy to store and carry in a vehicle.

Solid rope, solid hooks; over-spec for my needs, however no worries that this thing will snap when towing a 2T vehicle. Worked like a charm towing my broken car. Even if you tow a regular vehicle, I would recommend buying it: no reason to go with a 2T rope & hooks.
