Thought i'd pick up this Tow rope set to keep in the car after i ran into a few issues a little while ago sorting out a tow when my car broke down & i didn't have any rope on me which left me stranded on the side of the road for ages. The rope itself seems to be really strong & sturdy, i did test it out on my car & it was more than strong enough to pull my Audi A3 without any issues. It's claimed to be rated for up to 5 tonnes although, i have no way to test that as my car doesn't weigh anything near that but it was able to pull my car perfectly fine. I also love that the rope itself is bright yellow which just helps make it more visible when you're being towed too. This pack is split into two sets that are individually packed in separate cases so they can be stored in two vehicles, so i'm going to keep one in the car & one in the works van. You get two cases in the set & each carry case contains a 5 metre tow rope rated to 5 tonnes & 2x metal D clamps. So in total there's 2x cases, 2x Tow Ropes & 4x D Clamps. Overall i've been really happy with this set so far. The carry case material is a little flimsy but the ropes & clamps seems to be nice & strong which is the most important thing. I thought it was an amazing set for the prices, plus you got the peace of mind of always having a tow rope on hand if you need one.

The towing rope seems really good - looks well constructed and no quality issues. Time & regular use will tell but first impressions are good. I am afraid I cannot say that about the d-rings, they seem very cheap and are not rated (on the actual buckle) so I will not be using them as I don't fancy one snapping and metal pieces & stuff flying everywhere, that can be lethal. I will be using my trusted - properly rated d-rings. One star less for the dodgy d-rings but even without them - for £18, it's a bargain - two ropes nicely wrapped in a carrier bag so cannot complain.

2 ropes for less than £20 have got to be good value. These are webbing tow ropes each 5m long and with 2 heavy duty D - rings. The D rings do look a bit cheap but I suspect that they will be perfectly adequate; they don't need to bear the full weight of the vehicle, but rather, just enough force to roll it along which is far less. I would imagine that the weakest point of this system is the sewing in the webbing loops. It does, however look to be secure. I have no way of testing the breaking strain but experience of such things tells me that these should be fine for towing family cars.

You get two 5 tonne tow ropes in this listing , well to be honest they are not really ropes they are webbing like they use on ratchet straps , which is normally very strong anyhow . Each " rope" is 5 metre's long and they each come with D shaped shackles to attach them to both vehicles . I have a motor home which is 5 tonne so this is ideal to leave it there , as we frequently get stuck on wet fields and need a helping tow off. The other I will leave in my 4x4 so I may be help someone this winter if required ( or to tow me if I break down !) They seem well made and the webbing and stitching seems fine Hopefully they will work well and save me when I am in trouble in the future

This is a great pair of tow ropes, each one individually stored in its own storage bag. I cannot test the breaking strain, but they do appear to be up to the job, with D-ring hooks also provided. I'll be able to keep one in the boot of each car so its ready for any emergency use. Five stars The price at the time of review was around £19 for the two, which seems good value to me.

The quality of the tow rope seems okay. The end loops have plenty of stitching etc. Two come in the pack which is really good if you have more than one car. I have given one to my Dad who has a 4x4 jeep and like to help people out and he is forever going on about when we had a lot of snow and that he could have helped people get unstuck if he had a tow rope. So now he has one. Fixing bolts are provided to attach the top to the anchors points you find on cars and it is pretty easy to open the bot and attached the rope.

These tow ropes seem very good quality. I can't say if they will hold up to the job as i have not tried using them to tow with and hopefully wont need too. However one is in my boot and one in my hubbies boot just incase. Everything seems very well made and strong.
